What is everyone doing this weekend? Or do you have big New year's eve plans?

I am working 4-8 new years ever. That should keep me out of trouble hehehe. Give everyone the night off and we have no plans, just baby. Hoping to sleep actually. She is not the greatest sleeper that is for sure. If there is any sparkling wine left over that doesn't get purchased I may bring it home for hubby and I.

We hope to swim in the parents pool tonight. Free

Saturday and I Sunday I do not work,  swimming? I would like to do some meal prep.

I made a real baked cheese cake and my own sauce on wednesday this past week in spring form pan. Norma, I made the sauce out of the saskatoon berries we have here. Do I get any points for that? It sure turned out well. It was not cheap but cheaper than store bought or in a restuaruant and I know a fancy dessert now! Good for a couple of times a year, I'm guessing. Everyone liked it! Still lots left. Does anyone think it would freeze nicely?

The store is annoying me lately. Lots going wrong, expensive things....

Hmm, this weekend...  We want to go to the bank and deposit checks with a seperate stop to DS's bank for him to make a deposit.   We'll take down the decorations over the course of the weekend.   We have some house cleaning to do.  Mostly we'll play board games and read new books.  It's out first cumlative snow outside, so maybe sledding or a hike with the dogs.  All free:)

Karen....my mouth is watering.  I still have a freezer full of blueberries.  I made and gave away 6 pints for small Christmas gifts.  I'm going to make a blackberry/blueberry cobbler for DH this weekend since we also have wild blackberries in the freeze that need to be used.

No expenses for me this weekend.  Just cooking, cleaning and horse and dog gromming if it's not to cold.  The weather in Tennesse has been cold and very wet.  Thank goodness it's not the "S" stuff.  Although it keeps popping up in the mountain forecast, we have dodged the snow so far.

BTW...this is week number "60" in the bankruptcy payments.  I cannot wait for February 24th when I can annouce only 52 weeks or one year left!  All is good financially with us other than I am dreading the tax increase.  We stayed well on budget for Christmas, and I can stash back a lot of money in the month of January.  We keep building up an efund only to see it gradually disappear.

Paws crossed that everyone has a safe and happy New Year!

Off work so just trying to not spend! I will be buying groceries but other than that I will be going for a run and cleaning house. Unless my hubby wants to take me out tonight......which would be his blow money lol.

Paying off a cc this week felt so good! Hoping the next one will be gone by end of March!

I'm recovering from a rather sudden cold. I had a fever, I had chills, I coughed, my body ached -- oh, where's the chicken soup? Where's the teddy bear hiding?

Between the holidays, the snow, the car repairs (car is in the shop), the cold, I've been trapped indoors. So not a very exciting holiday, especially since most people in this college town are gone. I stayed home rather than going to visit family so I can get some work done, and that turned out to be the right decision because I got invited to give some talks. But I wish I could have seen my family. I saw them in September, so I guess that's pretty good for a working adult these days.
