Weekend Expenses

I love to see all the activity on the board!

What is everyone up to this weekend? Big plans or just lay low plans?

I work most of the weekend. That should keep my wallet closed. I might need to pay the boys some allowance. I feel a chore list coming on!

I'm off to an interview, which will last until Thursday. I'm going a little early to see a friend in the area, so there will be some expenditures for that part: hotel + food. Most of the expenses for the interview will be covered by the interviewing university.

I need to be in good shape mentally and physically for this, but I'm not.

I need to grocery shop. ($125 budgeted for the upcoming week) I'll meal plan today.  The dogs need food ($65) and I need household stuff ($50 budgeted).  We make our first car payment to FIL-waiting to see comissions check to decide how much. (starting balance of $6,000)  DS gets allowance also ($20).  Quiet weekend.  I'm going to teach DS how to set up Excel so he can track his spending and saving on the computer rather than his paper system.  We have plans for a family game of Monopoly and one afternoon (if the cold holds) we'll be going to see ice harvesting done the old fashioned way--free.  If it warms up, we'll head out to hike at a state park and see the bald eagels that congregate there each year--free.  I rented a movie from the library for DH and I to watch one evening-free.  Some living expenses but free entertainment.
