How is it looking for this weekend? Pricey or Frugal.
It is not going to be good here. Costco and Ikea(just had one open up closer to us). Plus there is talk of going out for dinner now.....This could be disasterous to our savings. We need the food and baby items at Costco but the rest will likely not be necessary. I will try my hardest to keep things to a minimum, but I am so excited to get out and we don't do that very often, it could be/will be difficult.
Good luck everyone!

The weekend should be cheap. We are taking $80 to buy a few things foodwise, and we are eating at Panera on Saturday because we are meeting up with some buddies there, but that is not too bad. We have been craving pizza, as well, so I am sure in the next couple of days, we will order some, but that will also come out of the $80.
Karen, have you checked Amazon Subscribe and Save for baby items? I found it cheaper than Sams, even...
Oh, I work overnight Saturday and Sunday...that should keep me out of trouble.... should being the key word....
I need a bag of oats for the horse $14, a few more groceries, $30 - $40 and an item or two from the drug store, maybe $30. Not bad. Hubby due home late Saturday so I'm planning a big pot of veggie soup and a big ole pot of chil (mostly beans) for the Super Bowl. We are both on a diet and doing extremely well. Wish I could put the food bill on a diet......
Karen -
You be free and I will be frugal this weekend (again, but I am still coming back from DH's bday weekend.) I am studying, DH will be home bottling homemade beer and making bullets and kids will not be home because I told them to stay away as I needed the weekend to study. (Big test again next week.)
I do have to teach a class on Saturday morning, but then I am headed home to dive into the books. It is supposed to be cold and snowy all weekend.
HeyKaren - DH's cousin's team just took some kind of Master's championships in curling this week!

Hello everyone,
I hope you don't go overboard, but I guess baby stuff is a big necessity when you have one :). Enjoy your dinner out, especially if you do it only once in a while!!! You Only Live Once right? As long as it's not all the time I don't see how that would be a problem, mind you I am not the one to talk since that is my biggest budget downfall as well as the grocery bill.
This weekend will be really cheap, I have 3 midterms to get through after the one I did tonight, and might go to work on Saturday to finish up T4 slip amendments which I am behind on since I am doing 3 people's jobs at the moment. Might go out for super bowl on Sunday with some friends and my fiance, hope to keep my portion of the bill under $20, should be easy since I won't be drinking alcohol because of all the stuyding that I have to do.
I paid almost $2400 in tuition this week, and last night, fiance and I went for a "small" grocery shopping trip since I went at the beginning of January and spent $280 at Costco... ya our "small" grocery bill ended up being $177
... so I am definitely laying low as I want to put $1500 towards my debt this month, and I am working part-time starting this coming week so that will definitely be a stretch...
Good luck everybody!
This is a spendy weekend. It will all be in cash and the money is accounted for. Both dogs at the vet today estimating about $200. Family bowling Friday afternoon $18. Groceries-$100 should be good for next 4 days. $100 at Target for cleaning supplies and cat litter. $40 for Superbowl Strike dinner and movie at eat in movie theater. $90 to full up both cars with gas.
So very, very spendy for us here.
Dh bought 2 hockey sticks and ski googles. $50 for 2 hockey sticks is awesome so I am very happy. I also got a hot pink cashmere sweater!!! (to replace the TWO Dh has destroyed in the dryer, d'oh!)
Tomm, we are off on our vacation. Will be $50 at a restaurant when we arrive, then $70 for hockey tickets for the whole family & probably some treats.
Then DH & I head off to the ski hill for 4 days - all paid up front ($514 for hotel, lift tickets, tax, etc).
My midterm got pushed back so we'll be staying a few extra days. Take DS1 to the beginner hill ($50) & both boys to the gymnastics training center.
Lots of eating out tho. I have been doing WAY too much of that lately. I just don't have room in my bag for 3 meals when I have a night class :)
Luckily, DH has worked some OT to pay for everything so we are still on track.
