Should be an inexpensive weekend.

Thanks, PB and Kate.

I ended up taking the night off from work last night (it was a four hour shift, so I won't lose too much $, but I would not have gotten home until 1:15 or so, which means I would not have gotten much sleep...I think that has been part of why my body is taking so long to kick this bug.)

Good luck with your taxes Karen! Heather, hope you feel better soon. Norma, I am trying to picture one-armed gardening and I just can't imagine it! PB, hang onto those teeth!

Quiet weekend for me. I'll probably work late tonight because I have so much to do at work that I can't keep up. The rest of the weekend I hope to continue with our decluttering project. And I'll probably bring some work home with me as well.

Going up to the cabin this weekend and the next two as well. A family member is making dinner up there Saturday so we will just bring a dessert or appetizer. We will cook in a couple weeks.

I did go grocery shopping today and spent $125, but that included pop and beer for the cabin, and a lot of staples like toilet paper, and gladiola bulbs (Ok Norma can relate- 50 bulbs for $9.99 is a steal!) etc. Dh spent about $50 on some new tires for our little row boat trailer and wood to repair it. He did it all himself and even has the lights working after sitting outside in our yard for 5 years. FIL needs it to help put his small boat in.
So we hope to just have a quick lunch on the way up tomorrow and that is about it for spending except gas.
Just hoping I don't overdue it, as I am starting to feel better.

I'm going to try to work around the house and not spend any money.

Perhaps we'll head over to my parent's farm and have a bonfire.

Sorry to hear that you've been sick, Heather. Are you recovering? It sounds like you're well enough for some home projects, and I regard that to be a good sign.

As for me, I've had too much excitement over the last seven days. I need yet another quiet weekend. A student of mine is having her gallery opening (I'm so proud of her!), and I'll attend that. But otherwise I'll behave and hope that my teeth won't fall out. (Have been having some dental problems lately.) So I'm being super frugal.

I have school all day Saturday, and I guess Sunday will depend on how I feel.

We are going to the Syracuse Zoo tomorrow to meet some friends, its $8 for me to get in, the kiddos are free. Plus food for the three of us, I don't forsee that costing an arm and a leg.

I do have to take a trip to the dreaded Wal*Mart. I need to pick up items to make laundry detergent, dog food, and cat food, plus kitty litter.

Sunday we have church.
