Weekend $$ Plans?

Hey everyone its Thursday! What do you have planned for the weekend? Is it going to be spendy or frugal?

I think we are going to spend a pile at Costco....Not just a little, but a lot. You should see my list. I am already starting to pare it back. And it doesn't help I really need food.I can't remember the last time I grocery shopped. We are out of everything. And it is BBQ season and I want to BBQ for every meal! Somje of the expenditures are for the baby and some are for the renos. So it is all planned I suppose, renos, baby and groceries. But it is still going to sting. So that will be Friday night.

If you need Microsoft office there is a discount for students, you can go to TheUltimateSteal.com and order it for about 69% off, but you have to use your student email address ending in edu as that is what entitles you to the discount.
Good luck with it!

ldp- sorry to hear about your computer. Have you checked with your school's help desk to see if Office is available free or reduced for students? The school where I work offers Office for free and a lot of other programs for $5.

Oh our weekend might be expensive. We are going skiing for the second time this season. We want to go more, it is just too $$. I had a ruptured hair follicle above my eye and near my eyebrow. It turned into a big cyst and I had it removed last week - $125! Yikes! I have insurance, hope to get reimbursed but I had to go to a plastic surgeon because no one else would touch it. Large cut/wound healing above my eye now but I am glad that is done. Had to go on meds for it, they made me dizzy and I dropped my laptop. It was a 100% display and motherboard fail so unfixable for under $900, so I had to get a new one since I'm a student at night and I'm two months away from graduating. I've been in school since 2008 and in the last two months this happens?! Oh my. I got $100 off the new laptop due to student discount and I opted NOT to get MS Office installed to save $250, but now I am really really really having a hard time doing school work without Word and Excel. But, many people have it worse and I paid cash for the new laptops thanks to efund so I can't complain.

PB sorry to hear about your tooth issues. No fun and $$.

Hopefully it's going to be a very low key weekend for us.

There is some good, live music coming to our little hangout tonight.

Wow, looks like you made a good decision leaving that job :) Just reinforcement!

My weekend doesn't look too spendy...

Today I'm taking DD for her 4 year well-child visit and then I'm teaching a class for an hour.

Happy Anniversary Norma!!

Good luck with your tooth, PB!

No firm plans for me. We'll have some pasta and wine tonight. It's rainy and dark in my city, so likely it will be a quiet weekend, snuggled in quilts with lots of books.

Dh is on call this weekend so we are not going anywhere. We are going to BBQ on Saturday and have ribs in the freezer already. Tomorrow I will put a corned beef in the crock pot and boil some potatoes and cabbage for St. Pat's day a day early.
The only thing I need at the store is lettuce so we should be good this week. We even have sausage and eggs for breakfast.

I am going to do a long fun with my running group on Saturday morning (I am doing a 12 week training program - paid for in January. Already lost the 5 pounds I gained from my cruise this week as I have been running in this great weather and eating very light. Even lost one more as a bonus, so I have to really keep running while the weather is good.

Oh, we had tornadoes today near where I used to work. They hit at 5PM right where the route was on my way home - weird.
