What are everyone's weekend plans? Are you going to a party on new years eve?
We are going to the city at some point.

Friday- We're off to the library today then I need to go to the store/the mall.
Thanks, bumblingalong, for the encouragement. It's rather hard to meet people around here. The singles in this small college town are either college students, or far and few in between. Most people in their 30s (my age) around here seem to be married with kids. I wouldn't mind at all just finding some friends. A girlfriend is not necessarily my goal.
I'm conflicted because there is already someone in my heart, but it's a complicated situation. (I don't mean Amy Winehouse, for those of you whom my posts have been entertaining.) I am waiting for her in a sense, and this may be a long wait. In the mean while, it doesn't seem to make sense for me to remain so isolated.

No big plans. Having two friends over for dinner on New Year's eve. One of them is suffering from a bout of depression, and I'm hoping to show my support and maybe give her a bit of relief. I guess I'll get back to work otherwise.
I'm going to do online dating. Rather conflicted over it. Something about contacting someone without being face-to-face, over something like this.
