Friday night we have no plans. I would love to relax and watch TV, boring I know!

I have to work from 8-12 on Saturday. Then I have the rest of the weekend off! I need to clean my house and do laundry. I would love to do some meal prep too.

Friday night I'm hoping to sit down with hubby to tweak our budget for December.

Saturday we will be winterizing the house with supplies we already have.

Probably just work some more this weekend or relax around the house. I'm sick with the cold that's been going around, so no fun for me!

My employer may start moving to terminate my contract tomorrow. If that happens, please do help prevent me from getting retail therapy.

In the mean time, my proposal for a one-time gig that would have earned $7,000 over 10 days got turned down.

Andi, congratulations on the toilet training!! I can totally understand your excitment!

Norma, good luck with the boot shopping!

Poorboy2011, I hope you're feeling better soon. Rest and drink lots of fluids this weekend. And I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your contract isn't terminated. Oh dear!!

As for me, it will be a celebratory weekend. It's my Mom's birthday. She is still only on liquids, but I called ahead to her favourite catering company (with a small restaurant) and they will be making a cream of cauliflower soup on Sunday. So Dad, DD and I will be taking her there for lunch. I've already bought her some presents, so I'm all set.

And on December 5th, it's Mikulas (Hungarian Christmas). We put out our boots and Mikulas (Santa) leave us some little presents. On the weekend I'll be pre-making some traditional dishes to serve on Monday night. I've already bought some great little gifts for DD which I know will delight her. Recently, she's become addicted to Starbucks hot chocolate with a hazelnut flavour shot, so I picked up some of their hot chocolate and a bottle of the syrup they use (I had to BEG them to sell it to me). I know she'll be really surprised with that gift!!

We'll be decorating this weekend so the house looks pretty for Mikulas. We're going to make some gingerbread cookies to decorate the tree and DD wants to string some popcorn too. I can only imagine the mess Gulliver will make while she takes on that project!

DD and I have really cut back this year on gifts, we honestly just don't want anything except for everyone to be healthy! And we've decided to use our money to spoil everyone else, so we've been having a blast picking out gifts for family. I think I might actually bring in Christmas way under budget this year.

Oh Kate, it sounds like a great weekend planned. I hope Gulliver doesn't bring down the whole tree once the popcorn garland is in place?!

Hey there Norma...

You are not at all passive...you are constantly doing things in your garden, with your animals, home and family.
