Whew! Car is OK

Good news, my companions! It turns out the necessary repairs on my car were covered by the warranty, and though the shop suspected my car might have other problems (which would not be covered by the warranty), they turned out to be wrong. I celebrated with a burger.

I know eventually I'll be hit with some other financial setback, but I'm glad it's later rather than now. My emergency fund is still rather diminutive. It will be a while before I reach the recommended minimum amount of $1,000.

Glad to hear there weren't any out-of-pocket expenses with the car. Mmm, burgers ... I was actually thiinking of making some this weekend. I hope your burger was wonderful! Personally, I'm a fan of Five Guys.

Enjoy your rumba classes!! I used to take ballroom dance, which included rumba, cha-cha and a couple of others. I enjoyed it immensely, it is such a good stress reliever!

Thanks, Kate & Karen! The rumba lesson was good, though I had a rather bad headache afterwards, perhaps from the lighting in the room. I surprised myself in how well I can shake my butt (i.e., the "Cuban motion").

I think I'll be able to save the minimum for my emergency fund by... October. Blech. At that point the forbearance for a debt will be over and repayment will kick in. I'll have to rethink my budget then, probably.

It's always such a huge releif when you find out the car repair isn't as bad as it could have been.

I'm doing a happy dance for you (but not a rumba - I'm not that coordinated.

Yea! That is great news. I have always wanted to take ballroom lessons. My SO doesn't really care to, and honestly it would cause him physical pain, so thus far I have not.

But you go on and have fun...(sniff sniff) JK
