I mentioned I needed a new bed in my accountability post. Well my teenage son kept saying mom take mine...I don't mind sleeping on just the matresses on the floor. I kept saying no to him but finally I knew I had no business buying a new bed and he thought its cool anyway to have no bed frame!! So for now we have his bed in our room and he is enjoying the mattresses!! lol. I felt guilty but honestly it's better for all of us that I don't add to our debt.

He is such a sweet kid:)

So........saved a few hundred for now.

Aww how sweet of DS! I wouln't feel bad about him sleeping on fhr floor! I did it for a year when I lived in edmonton (and I was 25!) and it bugged my mom more than me (must be a mom thing!).

Good for your for making a repsonsible choice!

It's totally a mom thing :) My mom has had fits at the times I have considered not having a bed, just a mattress on the floor. Glad you worked it out, it's great you son gets to enjoy a mattress on the floor and he gets to help out with the family budget (if he understands about that ).

Sounds like a win, win for both of you.

Although your DS probably had his own motive for offering up his bed, but either way I am glad it worked out.
