Well its been a pretty spendy weekend here . . . again :(

My sister came in for the weekend and I took her out for dinner and breakfast. I used some of the "me" money so its not throwing me back, I just hate to see my sinking funds ... well, sinking! I also spent about $40 on little Valentines gifts for my team. They have been working like crazy and I wanted them to know how much I appreciated it. Also, another $40 at the bookstore (I know!!! Crazy right!!!)

So I spent $70 on groceries and am determined that that is IT for this week. I don't have to travel anymore until the 27th so it will be nice to stay at home. I cleaned out the freezer and found about 4 days of dog food that I had purchased and forgotten about. BF is also going to bring over more meat that he has from last year's deer that he didn't eat in time. My goal is to go at least another month without buying dog food to get that sinking fund back up to a comfortable amount!

So, this week my debt is as follows:

Car Loan as of 02/11/2013: 6632.29

Car Loan as of 02/18/2013: 6500.25

Difference: $132.04

Student Loan as of 02/11/2013: $18,843.43

Student Loan as of 02/18/2013: $18,861.64

Difference: + $18.21

HELOC as of 02/11/2013: 11,822.97

HELOC as of 02/18/2013: 11,737.94

Difference: $85.03

Total debt as of Jan 6, 2013: $38,592.31

Total debt as of Feb 11, 2013: $37,298.69

Total debt as of Feb 18, 2013: $37,099.83

Difference from last week: $198.86

Difference from start of year: $1,492.48

Well, that wasn't TOO bad :)

I thought it was going to be a spendy weekend but DH worked 44 hours in the last 3 days so it wasn't. IKEA will have to wait for next w/end.

- $15 at McDonalds on Fri but DS1 paid for that with his gift certificates,

- $30 at Walmart for some needed things.

- Sat $15 for a pint & nachos at the pub after hockey. We got some free food so that fed everyone dinner.

This is the best weekend I think I've had since I came here, LOL :)

Well its Wednesday...I have no idea what I did last weekend, oh wait lol

I had my girlfriend over for the weekend. Didn't spend anything but extra groceries I suppose $40.

I have been on the treadmill a bit more so feel better. Working on eating less and better. some days that goes well..others not so much...

Spent $20 on allowance for the kids yesterday, they did a lot of shoveling. I worked Monday night unexpectedly as a staff member was out with the flu so saved some money for the store that way.

Just plugging along here.

Put some extra money on the roof loan for the store yesterday. Oh my I want that one gone. Getting really tired of debt after doing this since 2008! Really fatigued right now. I was going to put extra on the truck loan but I'm not so sure right now. Need to get back to work. Still undecided on when that will be.

I suppose I'm rambling right now. Have a good week every one!

I love watching your progress. If it's all right with you, I think I'm going to join your weekly countdown.

This week was NOT good finanically AT ALL!!  But our youngest dd did visit (she lives about 1,100 miles from us ) and it was GREAT to see her, but we ended up spending wayyyyyyyy wayyyyy too much money.   So much that I'm not even going to admit to the actual number - lol.

But still we are slowly making progress. . . .

Our only debt (besides the mortgage) is the student loans.

Jan balance $24,769.96

Current balance $18,396.65

YTD Payments = $6,373.31 (this is the amount paid toward principal - I'm struggling to get Wells Fargo to apply my extra payments towards "principal only" - they SUCK!)
