A pretty quiet week on my end. BF and I had a birthday party for a friend of his, and my share of dinner/drinks/gift was about $50 leaving me with $60 for the rest of the week. I have to buy a few groceries so I am going to try and cash in my change so that I don't have to spend the $60 (I want to start stockpiling some extra money).

In terms of debt repyament, its been a bit quiet. I am focused on trying to build up some of the sinking funds (i.e. dogs, blow money) and should have that in place by the end of March. Once that is done, its back to debt repayment!

So, this week my debt is as follows:

Car Loan as of 02/18/2013: 6500.25

Car Loan as of 02/25/2013: 6500.25

Difference: $0

Student Loan as of 02/18/2013: $18,861.64

Student Loan as of 02/25/2013: $18,739.73

Difference:  $121.91

HELOC as of 02/25/2013: 11,737.94

HELOC as of 02/18/2013: 11,736.23

Difference: $1.71

Total debt as of Jan 6, 2013: $38,592.31

Total debt as of Feb 18, 2013: $37,099.83

Total debt as of Feb 25, 2013: $36,976.21 (woohoo . . . out of the 37's!!!)

Difference from last week: $123.32

Difference from start of year: $1,616.10

We have been hanging in there this winter, so ready for spring I can't stand it...this snow just won't melt & go away its just been too cold!!  We are doing pretty well with our spending plan, we have $16,000 set aside for our roof & we are going to update the bathroom at the same time.  We will do the work ourselves on the bathroom.  We are closing off two skylites when we do the roof which leads to getting rid of popcorn ceiling in the kitchen & bathroom.  We will tackle the bathroom first, new sheetrock, new shower & vanity & flooring.  We'll keep the tub, just move it against the wall.  We have the contractor coming to give us a bid on the roof this week, I'll be glad to see how much we are looking at, can't wait to get the roof done!  Also, can't wait to get the mortgage paid off.  Would rather put this $ on the mortgage but we've had shingles come off the roof so we really need this work done.  Counting down 21 mths til mortgage is gone...this is paying extra on it, so hopefully we can do that.  Keep keeping on!!

Have a good & frugal week!

Ok, this is the first day I have been able to post this week and its Thursday!

I worked this past Sunday. We didn't do too much damage on Friday or Saturday but Tuesday I splurged and bought a couple of outfits for the baby and some shoes. She is growing so fast. She is 7.5 months old already! Crawling and eating with her hands. She is so busy! And I bought some safety items for the plugs and cabinets. So I blew about $80 extra there with groceries. I spent $244 on groceries at superstore and got a free kit for my guys with deoderant, tooth paste, Shower gel, a razor and shave gel for free. This included the things for the baby but I didn't get any meat! I have another week's worth here but to spend that much and not get any meat? Crazy. Feel guilty about that.

I am making french onion soup tonight(with red onions, this recipe is sooo yummy!). I have some nice swiss cheese  to melt(I really want those speical pots! and will look for some on sale or something!). Anyway, no meat in this recipe lol and it is just the two of us so I will serve with a salad and call it dinner. I have a bottle of red wine and it calls for half a cup so this is perfect!

All I know is I paid off my Explorer loan of $1,700 and paid off four medical bills that were under $100 each. I still have three that add up to about $950. Ordered a new dishwasher for $350.00. Sweet deal on last years model of a decent machine. Man, they can get crazy expensive!
