Once again I am posting on Sunday morning becuse ivillage has been fighting me on this!! So, overall a good weekend so far. I grocery shopped on Friday and spent about $40. I made dinner for bf and I and have enough for three meals of leftovers. I forgot a few things so I will have to go back. Today I have to take dad and step mom to dinner for their bdays. This was the one dinner out that I had planned in April and am using a $30 gift card to put towards them. I am making their birthday cards as we speak. Finally I do have to get my nails done. I am taking the biogels off so that will save me some money going forward. I just have to commit to actually doing them myself!

So, here is where I stand:

Car Loan as of 04/08/2013: $6104.72

Car Loan as of 04/15/2013: $5,970.64

Difference: $134.08

Student Loan as of 04/08/2013: $18,427.44

Student Loan as of 04/15/2013: $18,427.44

Difference: $0

HELOC as of 04/08/2013: 10,714.78

HELOC as of 04/15/2013: 10,356.45

Difference: $ 358.33

Total debt as of Jan 6, 2013: $38,592.31

Total debt as of April 8, 2013: $35,246.94

Total debt as of April 15, 2013: $34,754.53

Difference from last week: $492.41

Difference from start of year: $3,837.78

Woohoo! Out of the 35's and into the 34's!!! Next mini goal . .  . Pay off $200 this week so that I have paid off over $4k since the beginning of the year. This means that I will be averaging about $1k a month in debt repayment.

Bex, you are doing have a great goal of averaging $1000/mth debt repayment!! Good for you.  We had a good weekend & are starting the week on track.  We have a wedding June 1st for niece & her bridal shower the end of April & of course Mothers Day is right around the corner.  So I am trying to plan ahead & get gifts rounded up.  I'm also redoing my flower bed out front, purchased 4 big plastic pots & will use them for some flowers & vegies instead of the flower bed, filling it in with rock I think.  Not sure yet how we want to arrange it but if this winter weather ever leaves then we can get outside.  They finished our roof on Friday & it turned out great, we took down the shutters & painted them to match the roof color, they are still in the garage cuz the weather hasn't allowed us to put them back up.  We still have $11,000 in savings after paying for the roof.  We will do some remodel work ourselves in our bathroom & kitchen, we had the roofer take out 2 old sky lights so we will have to fix the ceilings.  We may wait until this winter to tackle that when my DH is done with his seasonal job. We have popcorn ceiling & we want to remove it but it sounds like it might be quite a project.  Still waiting to hear if DH will get a raise, he asked a few weeks ago but has to wait until their board meeting in May.   May 1st marks our 30 year anniversary...we've been pretty good to ourselves lately so not sure we'll do much to celebrate but possibly out for dinner.

Have a good & frugal week everyone!
