Accountability April 8

This is early because I figured if I had to spend time fighting with ivillage to post it, the weekend was a better time!

Had a pretty good weekend. Spent $50 on crafting supplies noted above but now should be good for the year! I bought a set of stamps that has every single holiday you can imagine on them. So my plan today is to do my Dad's birthday card. If I feel like it I will do a few more so I have them ready.

I spent $30 on groceries but am now stocked up on those for the week. I should be good to go.

BF brough over some frozen venison off cuts so we are thawing those out and going to package them up for the dogs. It helps me save on their food costs.  The good news is that I only have to buy one more bag and then I get one free so I'm hoping that between now and the end of June I will only have to spend about $75 on the dogs. This will help increase their sinking funds. Toby has an ear infection and I'm trying to clear it with medicine I had from last time so hopefully that works!

Monday mornings are always busy for me with deadlines so I am happy to post today.

I worked most of the weekend. I'm trying to get rid of some ice around a door. It is snowing now lol. Great....Needless to say that is not going well. I am also doing some clean up at the store and need to make many trips to the dump! A long way to go but it will be worth having it all cleaned up, its mostly my storage areas.

I got a bottle of wine this weekend and that was about it. I am bbqing tonight, snow or not! I made a wonderful home made pizza last night and its just about gone. We have been eating it all weekend but that is great because I haven't had to cook a bunch on times. I love that. So about  $15 spent! That was it.

Hello, my accountanbility for the past week is as follows:

I spent $55.00 on gas and $63.00 on groceries on Monday.

Paid back my mom $350.00 which I owed her for picking up some creams and chemical peels for me last month...:) Feels good to have that gone!

Paid $999.16 to pay off all the things I charged on my CC last month (gas, groceries, braces, cell bill) this way I get 1% back and I make sure to pay it off in full every month...

Difference: $0, hopefully I will be able to put some of my next paycheque towards it, but tuitions is due on the 10th of May so we will see....

Have a great week everyone!

Didn't think I was logged in but it is letting me post, YAY!!  We had a good weekend a little getaway & I didn't have to work part of Friday or Monday.  DH is back to work, he only works seasonal, but has spoke to them about putting him on thru winter at 1/2 pay to do some snow removal & be on call for buriels & he also asked for a raise.  He won't know anything until their board meeting in May, but it never hurts to ask!  My employer made a $26,000 contribution to my profit sharing pension plan so it is currently valued at $371,993..I am pretty excited about this number. Combining that with our ROTH, we are almost at $400,000 saved.  We sold our 4 wheeler RZR & trailer & were able to put $1000 in savings & $1000 on the mortgage.  We are now at $42,700 owed on our mortgage.  Can't wait til its paid off.  Our EF is at $17,866, however, we are putting a new steel roof on the house right now that will cost $6500 which we will take out of savings...our goal is to eventually have $20,000 EF but feel paying down the mortgage is also very important.  So we aren't growing the savings as fast as we could, but saving interest on the mortgage & being completely debt free is a huge goal we'd like to reach in less than 2 years.  My job I've held for 28 years may be going away in a few years & want to be debt free by that time.    It turned winter here in Northern Wyoming, 20 degrees & snow...I seriously can't stand anymore winter weather!!!

Have a good & frugal week!

I think I spent maybe $10 at a thrift store and at an estate sale.  SO paid for dinner both nights.

$40 at Walmart on miscelaneous groceries, etc.  Made our own latte's at home.

SO got on a roll and upgraded some of our light fixtures and fans.  Some were done about 5 years ago, some last summer, and he did the rest this week.
