Hi All,

Just doing my weekly update so that I have time to fight with ivillage if needed! This was a long, long week. I had so many things go crazy at work that I was averaging 4 hours of sleep for three days! But I caught up this weekend (I have slept over 24 hours since Friday!!!!)

I had to spend $25 of my own money on a cab for work because the CC machine was down. The good news is that I will get it back once I do my expenses. In fact, I have $450 coming to my for expenses this week ($250 will go right to my CC pay off the work expenses to and the remaining $200 split between debt (50%) and sinking funds (school 25% house repairs 25%). I have another $150 that I will expense and use the same way (split 50% debt 25% house and 25% school).

So, here is where I stand:

Car Loan as of 04/22/2013: $5,970.64

Car Loan as of 04/29/2013: $5,837.86

Difference: $132.78

Student Loan as of 04/22/2013: $18,322.94

Student Loan as of 04/29/2013: $18,340.65

Difference: $+17.71

HELOC as of 04/22/2013: $10,356.45

HELOC as of 04/22/2013: $10,201.70

Difference: $ 163.75

Total debt as of Jan 6, 2013: $38,592.31

Total debt as of April 22, 2013: $34,650.03

Total debt as of April 29, 2013: $34,380.21

Difference from last week: $296.82

Difference from start of year: $4,212.20

Woohoo!! I have paid off $4k this year and am averaging slightly more than $1K a month. I did the match and my CPP and EI will max out in the middle of June (2 more months!) and then I will get an extra $400 a month or so (I can bet you all can guess where that is going!!!). I am also just over $200 away from being in the "single digits" with my LOC. It hasn't been that low since I put the furnace and a/c on it!

You are doing so great BEX!

I worked Friday and Saturday and did not spend anything I can think of. It was BBQ for the inlaws on Sunday and a few walks for sure. It is getting so nice out! Walks are so lovely with the baby and FREE!

I do need groceries this week. The baby is at a nice stage where she is totally off formula now and eating little bits of our food so that is cheaper for sure. Diapers will be around for a couple years still but a nice stage none the less.

Have great week everyone.

Let's see... $96 at grocery store and Walmart for food, etc. Included $7.88 for a volleyball for DD13. $2.99 McDonalds after volleyball game. I think that was it. Made coffee at home both days. We didn't eat out at all. Paid cash for $300 ceremony deposit. Destination wedding with just the two of us.

Well I've almost made it through April, and I have $11 leftover from my budget. May is going to be more of a challenge (we need to squeeze out money for some major car repairs - H is looking at getting a short term second job to help us get through May without missing any debt repayment goals. . . slow and steady, right?) Paid $200 toward LOC (student loans) this week. Debt (beside mortgage) = $16,844.71 Total Principal Paid YTD = $7,925.25
