I know its Wednesday, but I finally got on yesterday!

How did everyone do last weekend? Did you stay on budget or spend more than you planned?

I did ok on the weekend and I went to Costco yesterday and did pretty well too! I only got my diapers and diaper genie refills. Oh and I bought a bag of shrimp. That was not planned but my sister and I would have gone out for lunch if I had not bought that and spent way more at lunch than the $15.49 bag of shrimp I bought. She made a lovely salad and we drank a bottle of her wine. That meal would have cost probably $40 in a restaurant at the very least so I thought that was being very resourceful!

I had the car worked on, it needed an oil change and it had a small recall for the fuel cap so that was done in the city. That was less than I thought as well. So a good day in the city.

I spent $173 on groceries and I suppose the costco trip too so that really adds up fast and it is only June 5 today. I am stocked up so I hope I won't need a thing except milk for a couple of weeks! I am really going to try to watch it this month.

I am working 14 days in June....so much for my maternity leave. A lot of them are only 4 hour shifts but still. So much planning goes into all of that! At least salaries will be less at the store. I am very happy with my roof loan total right now. This time last year the roof loan was over $20,000 so I'd say that is great progress since I haven't worked for almost a year in a couple of weeks. And by that i mean paid myself! I have certainly worked at home a lot and at the store. I am back fully time starting July 15th. It may be bad timing too as berries may be ready later than planned with the weather but we will see. It depends on how much heat we get in June.

Bye for now, have a great rest of the week everyone!

Sounds like you are doing well. You are much more disciplined at Costco than I am!

We spent almost $400 at Costco and $300 at HomeSense buying a pop maker, Egyptian cotton sheets, etc. Basically I just spent and spent. That was the end of May though and we are done for a while now. We'll pick up veggies and fruit but we won't even need food for a bit.

I'm starting fresh in June!

We are plodding along, finally got some sunshine here in Northern Wyoming...it has been cold!   All of my flower pots & plants look good even though someone said if froze here 2 days ago.  We are on schedule to pay off our mortgage by December, we have sat down & figured what our payments need to be & will pay $11,550 over the next 6 mths & will pay the remaining $13,000 from year end bonus.  I get paid each week so the add'l going to the mortgage each week I log on to my banking site & pay, I figure it will be a little less interest that way plus I love watching the balance go down.  We are finally done with graduation gifts, birthdays, weddings & fathers day gifts, spent over $500 for all of them.  Now I think we can hunker down & make our dollars stretch.  We have spent about $300 to spruce up our yard with pots & flowers & we are painting our fence which has cost about $60 in paint.  We put on a new roof & so it got us motivated to spruce up outside.  I have put $625 set aside for beef, we will get a half from a friend in a few weeks & so I've been stashing $ each week to pay for it.   We still seem to spend a lot each week at the grocery store but I'm going to try to do better meal planning & cut back some at the store.  Groceries & gas are so high right now that it is pinching everyones budgets.

Have a good & frugal week everyone.
