Do you have a Costco membership?  If so, what do you buy there? What's worth buying there? What isn't such a good deal?

Also, here's a good article on the top 15 things to buy and not to buy at warehouse stores.

I think it depends on what you are going to get there.

When I lived in Michigan, the discount on the gas alone was almost worth it as it was always almost 10 cents a gallon cheaper, but here in Texas, it is rarely cheaper than any other pump.  I found it worth it for things like pantiliners, vitamins, and if you bought large quantities of snacks like (Nutragrain) breakfast bars, energy bars, etc. it was worth it.  We no longer have one, but the gym that my ODD works for does and they purchase her a box of the Cliff bars whenever the owners go and it is cheaper and easier to get them in bulk when they eat so many of them instead of buying a 6 count box.  The lady in our office buys the huge bags of Stabucks coffee and regular creamer to use for the communal coffee pot that everyone chips in for and its cheaper.  We used to eat a lot more processed foods than we do now and it usually made sense.  But now that we tend to eat mostly fresh foods, and not much processed foods, I don't see a big reason to have a membership.

I hear so much about Costco but have never checked it out. I don't live near one so I do wonder if it is worth the drive and the membership fees.

I "share" one with some friends - basically two got a couple membership, but we chip in the membership fees and give them a shopping list when they go.
