Maybe you’ve seen those couponers on TV with their carts piled high with more mustard or toothpaste than any family could go through over the next 20 years. That is not what I’m talking about when I use the term “stockpiling.” Stockpiling means learning how to take advantage of store sales to only purchase the items you use and enjoy when they are at their lowest price.

Do you try and keep a good stockpile of groceries on hand at all times?  What are your best tips for stocking up?

I try. It has been harder and harder lately as I can't seem to find as many good deals as I used to. I do clip coupons each week and match them to sale ads. My stockpile just isn't as big as I would like it to be!

I do stockpile...nowhere near like on tv though!!  LOL  However I do buy certain things once a year...for example the best sales on campbells soups for cooking is holiday time  Nov-Jan. I take the best sales, use coupons with it, and end up saving about 80% on the soups.  I do stock these up!!!  I have done this for the past 3 years or so.  In general I do coupon a lot but only on things I use...thats where a lot of people run into problems....feeling obligated to buy something they wouldnt normally just because its a deal.  I think everyone that starts couponing runs into that...but it doesnt take long to get over it!!!LOL
