I tried to do an intro of myself yesterday.

It got a little long and I was going to edit it down when I decided to go ahead and post. Apparently, I hadn't proofread it well enough and somehow I triggered the profanity meter!!!! The post just disappeared before my eyes with no option to correct. Must have been a beaut of an error!

Perhaps not. It may have just been the ongoing "technical difficulties" the boards have been having.
I've learned the hard way that when you take the time to write up a long post, it's a good idea to copy it before you hit the 'post' button. With the login issues, sometimes you get logged out while you're writing the post and then it disappears because you have to log back in before you can post it.
Yeah, I agree with CMEvelyn, I met stuffs like this before, and would prepare it in other document before press the "post" button, it is a good idea, you can try it next time.
I usually do...........and of course, when I don't, that's when they go POOF!
