I honestly plan to ham it up BIG time. I'll be wearing a strapless black dress with a short hem in front and a long one in back. I'll be using a silver belt. I'll have on a very elaborate rhinestone necklace, black gloves and a simple rhinestone bracelet, big square cut rhinestone earrings (But only for a while....metal allergy!), a tiara, carrying a scepter and over it all a black cloak with white fir trim. I'm hoping the desk clerk will call me "Your majesty" if I slip a $5 bill into the note requesting it. Wish I could still wear high heels but short patent leather slippers will have to do!

This all started when I reserved their biggest room and it turned out to be the King suite.....which was not appropriate for me and my since-found roommates. So, we renamed it the Empress Suite (I have a bronze "plate" for the door, even). So, we decided to wear the tiaras and gussy up a bit. Soon other members of the larger group started terming themselves "Queen of" or "Princess of" and vowing to wear tiaras too.....so I took it a step further with my scepter.....then someone mentioned THEY were bringing a scepter...so I upped the ante (not telling of course!) by adding all the diamonds and the cloak.

This should be great fun! Several of the gals costumed for the last convention but this one is really getting people a little wild and crazy! What fun!!!!!

By the way I am "Empress of WICI".....whatever I can imagine!

Mr roomies ran ahead to announce the arrival of something "very special" so I entered the art room with a lot of curious eyes staring at the door! Boy, was I done up! Simply trounced the competition......LOL!

The next night we all went out for pizza (it wasn't very good) and I wore a Michael Jackson type sparkled all over jacket, with gold frogs and gold satin lining. Velvet slacks...and tiara! Only one other was brave enough for the tiara even! The staff kind of did a double take....

I think there might be a bit of ham in me......just a tad!

Otherwise, I watched a gal look at a picture in a book and without looking at the paper, duplicate it almost exactly IN INK! I was impressed! Managed to get rid of most of my give-away stuff as I mentioned. Had NO T.V. for 2 1/2 days. And actually made it home on the tangle of West Seattle freeways and overpasses without a single wrong turn. SHOCK!

Did some card trading, of course.....and got some really nice cards in return. As far as doing art, well, I did some sketching and outlining but didn't get a single water color laid on paper. Been doing that since I got home....and sorting out the remnants of the give-away. Going to send a friend a whooooooooole bunch of beads rather than sort them back into their cases, etc. Most everything else is put away for sending out with trades.

T'was enjoyable and fun to see all the different techniques people use. Many draw from memory, some from a picture (with alterations), some mainly collage, some rubber stamp a lot and others do a myriad of things from wood burning to metal embossing....and sharing recipes!
