Buy a nice chain (in a hobby store OR they have some lovely chain by the foot in Lowe's and Home Depot, etc. You just add the clasps.
Then, at the hardware store or on-line, buy chandelier replacement crystals. They're available in glass or real crystal, a huge variety of styles and sizes and a LOT cheaper than pendants at the hobby stores! They also have various colors and some that have an extra hole for adding a bead or smaller crystal.
