OMG, I'd crawl 3 miles over broken glass for fried green tomatoes.  DONE CORRECTLY.  My tomatoes are sliced, dipped in flour, then egg wash, then into a seasoned flour with corn meal.  OH YES, same recipe works for deep fried dill pickles.

OHH, Southern crack!

I haven't tried this but it looked scrumptions --- it was on The Chew, by Mario Batali, and everything I have tried from that show was worked like a charm!

http://beta.abc.go.com/shows/the-chew/recipes/Spaghetti-Green-Tomatoes-Mario-Batali

And Carla Hall did a fried green tomato on The Chew also: http://beta.abc.go.com/shows/the-chew/recipes/Carla-Hall-Fried-Green-Tomato as did Michael Symon: http://beta.abc.go.com/shows/the-chew/recipes/Fried-Green-Tomatoes-Michael-Symon

Can you tell I'm a fan of The Chew? LOL

Anyway, I'm going to have a slew of those green tomatoes too, now that the night temps are dropping below 50, so I'm going to try some of these myself. Maybe we can compare results!
