I've tried those green bags (not listed here, but they do the same thing by absorbing the gasses) and they work well! I probably wouldn't spring for them myself, but my MIL buys all sorts of odd "as seen on tv" types of things for some reason.

I do like the looks of these though, and the price is reasonable~

I put my veggies in the crisper drawer. It seems to stay fresher there than when it's just on a shelf.

My lettuce I wash and spin in the lettuce spinner and put it in a tupperware. I put a paper towel in the bottom of the tupperware to absorb any excess liquid. Depending on the lettuce and how it looked to begin with it lasts up to two weeks that way, but I usually eat it way before then.
