Vacation is here!  It's warming up and I'm heading south in time for spring blooms.  I'll have pictures to share when I get back!

They were fun!  First we did crayon eggs...write on the egg, dip in dye, and hope the crayon marks took.  They did not.  So then we tried writing on the eggs with candles.  That did not work either.  So I said, "light the candles, use the wax hot..."  That DID work.  Then I suggested some chapstick eggs...that worked too!  Then we got serious and broke out the sharpie pens...

LOL, a great day!

I'm sorry your camera didn't get great photos.  I hope you didn't miss out on too many good photo opportunities!  Our camera decided to go out when I needed it the most, and I didn't realize it until the event was over and I was looking at horrible, blurry images.

Coloring Easter eggs in a bar sounds pretty cool.  That's not something most people get to do!  How did they turn out?

I'm back!  My new camera had an issue...crappy operator.  But I got plenty of shots on my phone.  Azaleas and camellias were in full bloom, the trees and turfs were green; it was 80 degrees and lovely.  The first 2 days, it was overcast and a sudden severe thunderstorm sent us scurrying for cover while on a walking tour on Sunday.  Lucky for us, the closest open door was only a few yards away, and the establishment was a popular little tavern called the Corner Bar.  Several other people dashed in there, too, locals and tourists alike, because not much was open before noon on Easter Sunday.  Guess what we did while we waited out the storm...We dyed Easter Eggs!

I'll get to work getting the pics off of my phone.  It sure was depressing to come back to dreary cold weather and very little sign of spring.
