Still incredibly hot down here, ***DUH*** this is the Delta; and the grass is stalling.  So to my delight, a couple of evenings a week as the sun goes down, I can make a short dash around the yard with my reel mower and the touch up looks perfect.  I'm really glad I have this handy tool!

Good exercise too!

Funny --- hot here too but JUST enough water to keep that bluegrass growing! At least, with our irrigations system hooked into our lake, there is. Wish I could say the same for rain! But at least our lawn is green adn not dormant!

Your lawn looks good, nice and green. Great that you can keep it "touched up" with the little push mower.

We had one of those once although I think it was larger than yours. It was when we lived up in Santa Cruz (CA) which got a fair amount of rain in the winters. The grass would be too wet to mow and would get very tall. When it finally dried out a little I'd be out there trying to push the mower through it---what a job. As you know they don't work well on tall grass, especially on wet tall grass! After that I swore that I would always have a mower with a motor.

Now I have an electric mower, the kind with the battery built in and you plug it in to recharge. We don't have much "grass" anymore, its more like some weeds that I'm keeping green--mainly to keep our big old magnolia tree healthy. It takes me longer to get the mower out, put the bag on, clean it up afterwards etc than it takes to mow the so-called lawn!

I use an electric mower, but I passed on the battery powered one because I'd have to charge it on the carport (theft) or in the house (hiatal hernia, can't lift it).  My power mower is a Black and Decker with 100 foot cord.  I have my mom's 20 year old one with wonky wheels and a new one I bought this spring.  I like the electric.  With my hernia, I could no longer start my gas mower so I gave it to a close friend who needed it.
