What one tool is a must have for you when you are gardening?

Not sure if you call it a tool or something else. BUT I would be lost without my little red wagon!! Bought it when I moved into house. It has saved my sanity many times!

I do think a wagon is a "tool" as it helps around the garden. I have a green wagon. I find that the wagon is easier to use and more versatile than a wheelbarrow.

I'm not much of a gardener --- I actually really only had any success with vegetables but not since we moved to Ohio (The squash borer and tomato hornworms have defeated me) but when I do putter in the dirt, I really like this little hand trowel:

That looks like a nice hand trowel.

Hi Carol!!

I'm not a gardener at all - plants tend to die on my watch. But I do want to learn to grow my own vegetables. Eventually ;-)

I like to have a nice, quality pair of gloves. I've gone through more cheap gloves than I care to admit. I finally decided that it's a good idea to just spring for a quality pair that will last longer.

I have some work gloves, but I don't use them for gardening even though I should.

I bought a little red wagon with the oversize inflatable tires. The purpose was to use it to carry gear when I took my grandkids camping. That was 2 years ago and we havn't been camping since. It is now my yard buddy.

I have to agree with hand trowel. A good, sturdy one is my best friend. The one I have now, I've had for 10 years or more. I use that single tool more than any other tool, large or small, that I possess. :)
