of my hooks. I read on another place that I could recycle some of my pens for a good use. I could use them to decorate my crochet
hooks. I found some pens that had useless dried ink and took them apart. Then connected them to my hooks. Some hooks fit just fine, some needed
bigger pens to fit. My swh gave me a flabberghasted look at the pens I took apart. It was so funny. Usually my son does this kind of thing.

Here's the video where she talks about making the grips for the crochet hooks:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnyAKzdcbeY

I saw something similar done using those gel pencil grips you can buy in a package. To get them to fit on a smaller hook, they took some plastic tubing, sliced it down the center so it could expand, and put it around the hook. Then, the gel grip would fit around the tubing on the hook. It was really very clever!

yes a way to still keep the colorful pens . Some hooks fit nice. My big hook needed a different pen size.

my swh gave me the flabberghasted look when I took apart the pens. I just pushed the hooks thru the emptied pens. If they fit nice and snug , I just leave it. If they are a bit loose inside , I put some glue in near the holes.

That is a great idea. I have heard of using the pencil holder things on them to help with grip, but had not heard of recycling pens. Wonderful.

How did you connect them to your hooks?
