I like wool & alpaca for the way they feel as I work. But I generally make toys to be washable (acrylic). I'm not a brand snob.
On the go, lately it's been mostly the spinning, because my knit & crochet projects are getting too complicated to do while other stuff is going on.
I tried not to have a stash, but those things creep up on you. I bought a real expensive yarn (paco-vicuña) and have been afraid to work with it. I inherited some stuff that was too good to give away. I bought some cheap stuff for making toys and then got interested in other stuff. And I got some a couple skeins of Red Lion glittery holiday stuff, and only used a little so far. And several skeins of sock yarn that need JUST the right pattern...
I'm kind of thinking now of making something cool to wear. I want a newsboy hat, or a lacy vest/pullover. But the queue and the stash are long, and I don't know when I'll get to it.
