How has your week been?

Any projects on your hooks/needles?

Anything completed? Any pictures to share?

Looking at any new patterns?

I hope you are having a wonderful day!

My week has been okay.  Glad the rain has moved on.  I need to get a lot of things done outside.

I have a Plain Vest and ruffle scarf on my needles and a few various afghans on my hook.

I finished the Stitch Sampler Afghan. Yay!  Finished the edgining the other night.  I will get pictures posted soon....with the rain there hasn't been good enough light.

I am thinking about starting another stash busting afghan. I would love to use up some of the big plastic bag I have of odds & ends.

Hope you are having a great day!

Not really any new projects. I went to the alpaca show & got some more stuff to spin. (Alpaca/wool blend, and silk hankies). DD started spinning. I got a book about designing crocheted sweaters.

How was the alpaca show? How wonderful that your dd is starting to spin. Designing crochet sweaters is very creative. I am hoping to get a drop spindle at an event at the beginning of June. I can't wait to give it a try.

It was fun, but the kids got bored too soon. A guy from work spotted me there, from a distance. (He goes because his wife does taxes for some alpaca-ranchers -- answer: I wouldn't get rich by growing my own).  That "event in June" wouldn't be Estes Park, would it? That also is fun, but I've got more material than I'll be able to use in a year already.

It would be very cool to design a sweater for myself. I'm not sure I have enough yarn of one type to make it, though, and I really should work through some stash.

The kid is doing ok spinning. (Truth, better than when I started, but she has had more observation first). I'm trying to justify geting another spindle but if I do I might never finish stuff, for having too many projects at once.

I don't think my kids would appreciate those kind of shows like I would.  Maybe one day I will be able to go to one.  I really need to work from my stash too!  Designing a sweater would be very interesting. So glad the spinning is going well. I am on the fence about purchasing a spindle now too. I have so many projects that need my attention.  If I purchase a spindle I will be focusing on that instead.  Sigh!

Its worse than that; I'm also looking at various kinds of lace, especially bruges, which I'd never heard of before.
