Finding an Old Pattern

Years ago I started an afghan, using what I knew as afghan hook and stitch, but according to another thread here might be knooking. I was thinking I might like to finish it this winter, but I can't seem to find the pattern. I know I tore it out of a magazine but I don't remember which one and it was a really long time ago. Any idea how I could find a similar pattern? I don't even know where to start. It was done in squares and each square had a flower cross-stitched onto it.

Hi Evelyn,

Could you post a picture of your project?  Maybe we can help you find the pattern.

If you started with an afghan hook it's probably the afghan stitch aka tunisian crochet.  There are differences between tunisian crochet and knooking.  One of them being that Tunisian you do not turn your work and work from right side.  With Knooking, you do turn your work and you are working from a cord unto the hook then sliding it back unto the cord when the row is finished.  hth
