"Tea by the Sea", designed by Sandra Murray, chart book by Needle & Frame, stitched in Kreinik's silk mori (5104, 4044, 5103, 5102, 4196, 4163, 5105, 4043 and 4193) and very fine #4 braid (044) on Zweigert 28 ct linen Melrose. All satin stitch in various geometric patterns to represent sea-related topics (fish, anchors, oars, lighthouses, etc.)

The sea part I get --- not so much the Tea!

Got interrupted not only by heat but also that power failure on Saturday which not only made it impossible to stitch (in the dark) but fried my DVR as well (And I stitch with television on in the background)! So this piece will NOT have good memories associated with it, I fear...

Oh, and by the way, the picture insertion software has been fixed! You can now download form your computer again... Still doesn't show up in text unless you look at preview, through, so be careful where you type or you could literally erase the picture after loading it!

Very pretty, Carol. That is one of my favorite color families. I must admit I don't quite see the tea part either.

A British stitching correspondent of mine thinks it MIGHt mean that it's meant to be a " tea cloth" which I assume to be a tray- sized cloth for a formal tea service...

Ah! That would make sense, I guess.
