Happy Martin Luther King Day
CL for "
Last week, my goals included the following:
Good for you on the walking.
I don't think I've posted any goals for awhile, so let's just assume that I met them all. LOL! But now it's time to get back on track. So here goes:
Go see "The Artist" with my friend Linda. We already saw "The Descendants" on Sat. (She suggested seeing either one on either Sat. or Mon., so I suggested we just do both!)
Take Ian & Shanna around to look at apartments for her.
Buy electric shaver for Uncle Bob & deliver.
Work on "Love Tokens" blackwork/cross-stitch project which I started (just barely) on Sunday.
Take down & store Christmas decorations.
Get my stitching supplies & magazines put away.
Get going on TAST2012 Challenge.
I know what you mean about volunteering --- for me, if there's a certain number of hours and a certain time a week one HAS to volunteer, it's work! That's why I pick and choose short-term things which I can say aye or nay to if they aren't convenient for me, and resist all requests to "join" boards or the like. DH is on a couple of committees and one board and he's ALWAYS busy --- most of it he emjoys, but it does get old after a while.
Is your weather "roller coastering" too? we had some really really cold days with snow and ice and now it's rainy and in the 40s; another nasty cold spell is supposed to come in tonight with more snow (but it won't stick --- there's too much standing water)
"The Artist" and "Descendants" --- both GOlden Globe winners. Did they warrant the awards, in your opinion?
The cold front from the Plains is rolling into the Midwest - our wind chill is 16, mostly because of 40 mph wind gusts.
Yes, both movies were excellent.
