Got about an inch and a half (total) done on the peacock, and I think it's going to work. The dark purple still shows against the black, and the reverse is even easier to see. I want to start a small project or six as well. Halloween has bats, and I bought fabric to do arm covers on the couch quite some time ago. (It doesn't have to look professional; just intentional and tidy and not cat-clawed)
