I can vouch for what this blogger says --- I have lots of "cheap" fabrics from when I lived in Saudi (where seconds were common and many fabrics sold as 100% cotton were really blends), and I can definitely feel and see the difference...

Oh, and while I posted this here in quilting, it applies tp fabrics used in f=garments, home decor, etc up in the Sewing folder as well as threads in any stitchery! Cheap often means jsut that!
