We posted a series of possible resolutions for knitters down in the Yarn folder: http://www.ivillage.com/forums/home-garden/hobbies-crafts/stitchers-niche/yarn-works/resolutions-knitters , many of which, if you change the word form knitting to quilting, would apply to quilters as well.

Do you have any 2013 resolutions for your quilting? Here are a few quilting specific resolutions to get you thinking: http://www.quiltqua.com/articles/new-years-resoltions-quilters/ and/or http://www.chicagonow.com/quilting-sewing-creating/2012/12/quilters-new-years-resolutions/

Other than participating in teh Crazy Quilt Journal Block Challenge for 2013 and continuing to attend guild meetings, I have no quilting resolutions planned for 2013. I do have three classes paid for on Craftsy (well, two were free) that are quilting classes and I'm being encouraged by a freind to try at least one but I don't know if I will find the motivation, let alone the time... So I will abstain for now. Maybe later in the year?

I've always wanted to make a full quilt, but it's such a daunting project for me, that I've never been able to decide on a pattern or choose material. One of these days I'll bite the bullet...

I saw a comment on a blog the other day --- I think it may have been the Crazy Quilt Journal PRoject blog --- that commented that doing a 6" block a month as part of the challenge resulted in a quilt at the end, a quilt that person would never have tackled if it were to MAKE a crazy quilt all in one go. Have you thought about one block at a time... until you have enough built up to get that final quilt done?

Yes, it's not the idea of making the whole quilt that stops me. It's that I can't decide on the material, or find material that I like and can afford. Up until last year, I couldn't even decide on a pattern, but I've seen a few simple striped ones that I like, so now it's just the colors and material. Also not sure if I want to quilt by hand or by machine or not at all...

I'm good at planning, but not very good at following through :(  I have so many projects that are unfinished, or not even started, that I don't even remember what some of them were going to be.
