I didn't!...
http://www.findmeahobby.com/pages/National%20Hobby%20Month.php
and not only is Michaels giving away a one-day only (January 16) coupon to "celebrate" this http://www.michaels.com/c/011612-EMAIL,default,pg.html, another web site is asking what your hobby says about your love life! LOL
and here is what it says about us stitchers:
"Knitting, Cross-Sitching, Embroidery: Unless you are a geriatric, this means you're a nuevo crafter, looking to dazzle the Etsy underworld with your wares. You love NPR. You have serious thoughts about coffee. You're sexy like glasses, serviceable and reliable. Unless you're not."
Now I suppose I could be considered a geriatric (after all, I'm on Medicare and Social Security), but I don't feel ancient but I don't think I'm nuevo either. I really am not into Etsy (although I truly respect those whoa re). I do love NPR and I do love my morning cuppa. And I HOPE I am serviceable and reliable, like the glasses I have worn since age 4!
How about you?

Actually I'm a capable defense-industry engineer with a penchant for following developments in cutting edge maths & sciences who is fascinated with the topological applications of knitting & crocheting.
They're full of it.

Ddi you know that February is National Stitchery month and we are supposed to stitch in public on February 4th? I am not planning on doing that. If I lived in the Southern Hemisphere I might do it but not in the middle of winter!
I did not so I should post a thread, right!
