This probably belongs under Sewing or Quilting, but then again....?  I actually got the link to this site from a needlework shop's site though.  The shop owner discovered it when trying to find some Dr. Who themed fabric. Carol - if you look under their weekly contests you will see fabric that made me think of you & your beaded masks.

For those of us in the US, the shipping and import duties could be a little over the top to buy from Calico Lane, to say nothing of the exchange rate. However, it looks a wonderful site adn they have some very interesting fabrics!

The site seems to be a great source for such product I was quite surprised that they offer customize fabrics, well I often buy my fabrics from calicolaine.co.uk. The site offers a wide variety of dressmaking fabrics as well as sewing tools and haberdashery products.

Liz, that looks like a really great site. I saw a lot of really cute fabrics for kids that I would love for my granddaughter.

It's on their "get started" page:

"There is no minimum fabric order or set-up fee required. Order a swatch of any fabric for $5 or a yard for as little as $15.75."

A swatch is 8 x 8" and then it goes up, fat quarter, etc.

What an interesting site! I hadn't seen it before but I did see some interesting designs. I didn't see how much fabric you have to buy if you order from them.

I have seen that site before --- it's often covered on Craft Gossip.com. But I missed the mask contest ... but gosh, it would have been perfect! MUCH better than that ugly black-and-red butterfly fabric I used as backing!

You can design your own fabric there, they will print it and sell it to you! COol idea, especially if one if looking for a specific pattern for a specific use! what I REALLY REALLY like is they won't sell your design unless you make it "public" which is as good as gettinga copyright, I think!
