How cute is this? It is my first project for this year, just to show how far behind I am.

I have been such a slacker. {Hangs head in shame.} I thought I'd take down my Halloween decorations and start making some for Thanksgiving, but it's coming up next week and my mantle is still bare. I guess I'll have to skip right to Christmas. :smileysad:

I did make this Christmas gift for my mom this week. She wanted a chalkboard serving tray, but I just couldn't find a tray anywhere. I used an old picture frame instead.

Aren't you smart, Kellie, using the picture frame to make a tray?

That is cute but I'm with you on size! But... How about a collection of them in felt for that garland. No turning necessary!

What a great idea! Your Mother will be (as they say in England) well chuffed! So useful for a wine and cheese party!

That would be really cute! You could just use pinking shears on the edges. Ooooh might have to do that!

Here is my "tree" which displays all my handcrafted ornaments from over the years. The ones crafted this year are the three blue ones (two on the third tier of branches, near the middle of the tree and one on the next-to-bottom tier, also near the middle) which won a first at the County Fair this year...
