I'm not much of a sewer, the only thing I know how to make are flannel rag quilts.   I have a stack of small flannel pieces that I can't really use to make another quilt, unless it's totally not coordinated ;)   I just keep stacking them up, not sure what I can do with them.  Is there anywhere that I could donate them to?  I know that flannel isn't used as much to make quilts.

One of these days I really need to find the time to take a class so I really know how to sew!

I can think of two possibilities... is there a church sewing group or guild anywhere near you. They might have a use for flannel scraps as a quilter can often make use of just about ANY fabrics!

Second, do you know anyone who is making stuffed fabric toys or pillows? Very small scraps are very useful for stuffing...

As for learning to sew, check out classes at a local high school or college. Many offer such classes in adult education programs.

We'd love to see some examples of you rag quilts. they sound fascinating!
