Did you travel over the holidays to vacation or visit family? Where did you go? Was it relaxing or do you need a holiday to recover from your holiday?

A holiday somewhere is really not that good idea, I am out.

When in holiday I'd liek to stay with my family and have a good family time or I'd like to do some reading if the weather allow to bring me some good mood.

Well, I do have short tip as well, cause I' d get to recovery from a loing trip for a long time, I' d rather hang out in me neibour area. Anyway, personal method for spending the holiday, I guess there must be realxing method for long holiday. Wink

I hear you! I find the holidays stressful enough without adding travel into the mix.

After living overseas and having to travel for the holidays to see family, loaded down with gifts that make customs twitchy and airlines plams sweaty for those extra fees, uncomfortable crowded airplane cabins and long passport lines..., I no longer like the idea... takes all the joy out of the season!

Visiting EiTHER  of my brothers (one in Arkansas, on in New Jersey --- both hit with worse weather than we had this year, since the Arkansas one was in the path oc that nasty blizzard that just skimmed us and the NJ one is in Hurricane Sandy teritory) would require a vacation afterward to recover (two days and it's a shouting match!)! DH's brohters are scattered all over Ohio so... we go to the closest bother's house some 15 minutes from here (or, some years, he comes here) and we have a quieter, less stressful holiday.

Still, being the solitary soul that I am, I would prefer that NO family was near enough to include in the holidays. All the prep for company, the cooking, having to be hostess for all those days --- way to tiring!
