At first I thought this was brilliant, but then I quickly realized that I'm *always* running late at the airport, so I don't think I'd ever get to use it! Would you take advantage of something like this?

The Zen of Air Travel: San Francisco Airport Opens Yoga Room
Flight delayed for another three hours? Just breathe deeply.

I fI could acutally get agents to giv eme a three-hour layover in SFO between flights...

I wonder if I'd need to pack the proper outfit in my carry-on just in case?

I don't think it would work for me. I remain in a high stress level in airports until I've gotten through all the security, have reached my boarding gate and am on that plane and it's in the air!! So many things can go wrong to delay the plane that I can't settle myself down until I'm in the air and falling asleep at last!! On long layovers, I will venture out somewhat to explore gift shops or restaurants and such just to pass the time, but not for long. I'm constantly watching the time and listening for announcements that the gate has been changed or flight cancelled that yoga wouldn't do it for me. I just have to wait it out and see it through. I hate airports!!!

That's true Carol. I don't exactly travel in my yoga clothes!

I had a long layover at SFO once when we were traveling overseas, but it was in the middle of the night.

I LOVE this idea! I go to a yoga class weekly and would very much look forward to a finding a quite space in a airport! The only bone I have to pick with the article is the statement about museums in airports. Many airports display artwork of all types. In fact the car rental hub at DFW airport has a space upstairs that rotates local artwork. The space is so lovely, you honestly wouldn't even know you were at the airport car rental center when walking around up stairs. Next time you are there, go up stairs before you grab your rental car keys and leave!!

SFO's "museum" is actually displays along the moving sidewalks from terminal to terminal...
