I've been reading its good for babies to be around pets it helps build their system up .. I would have a really hard time giving my babies up for my baby .. If you know what I mean .. Their company for when DH is out of town for a few days .. He runs his own company most of his clients are on the opposite side of the state so he goes for like a week at a time .. He's doing double time now because our son is due the last week of October .. And see DH has allergies .. He knows how important they are for my depression and anxiety when I am not pregnant .. I've had my oldest since 2000 and my little one since 06 and their both short hair I think a long hair would send him over the edge .. He puts up with them for me .. and they serve him entertainment value(though he wont admit it)

DH inherited the bad allergies from his mom .. she has them too but can tolerate being around mine .. I have read that having cats can boost immunity in your child and make them less sick .. Ugh I wish that my MIL did not put this into my head while DH is gone

Is there an article out there that proves this? What I have been reading? So I can send it to everyone who is doubtful about my cats being around my newborn?

Here's two articles on the benefits of having pets around children and they are many.
