I just got a torti-shell kitty. She is about 7 mos. old. Has a orange stripe down her nose. I need a girlie name, flowery name or ??? for her. I started to call her Sundae, cause she has the colors of ice cream and I got her on a Sunday. I just can't seem to find the right name for her. Donna

Lexi, thats cute. I'm sorry your friends cat died. This kitty is one of the "rescue" womans kitties I found a rescue group to take about 2 1/2 hours away, they were going to adopt several out at a petsmart?. Anyway, the plan did not work as they expected, they didn't get them all adopted and this group was more into dogs. I was partial to the kitty, I have a 8 yr. old torti with a stripe down her nose already. I ended up paying this group their $100. adoption fee and had the cat brought down to me by a man I had come up from Louisianna SP? to adopt a cat from this group and me. (maine coons) So when he comes down with this wild cat (the cat clashed with the woman dealing with her) he is driving a Lexis SP? expensive car. Somehow this name Lexi ties in rather well don't you think? I will possibly name her that. It is unusual. Thanks. I can't seem to spell today, I am still drinking my coffee. As for the fee, they did test the cat, give her shots and spay so she really didn't cost me anymore than bringing her straight from the rescuers house, cause she would have still had to get those things done, I just hate she had to go around the world for no reason! Lexi is a cute name. I have a blue-cream tortie named Chalimar. I didn't name her, the SPCA did. I could have changed it, but it kinda suited her. Personally, I tend to lean towards people names for my pets. My other cat is named Anastasia, though I call her Bad Annie...because she's bad (thought cute), and Anastasia was such a long name for a deaf cat.

I say go for the name that just strikes you as right. I was going to rename Chalimar, but now when I come in the door from work, and I holler "Chali kittie! Mommy's home!" and she just comes running...it just seems right.

My calico kitten has ice cream colorings. Her front paw is white and a butterscotch color. Reminds me of a sundae!!! Donna

I wanted to name her Sundae but it doesn't suit her. Tell your friends I will name her Lexi. This kitty has lived her short life in an outside enclosure, no power etc...she got no attention. Then she had that long trip, vet trip, then to the pet store, no luck, then to a carrier in the rescuers bedroom. This is a kitty who had never seen but one or two people before and was used to her quiet room. She is doing very well here and I am keeping her. She loves to stay in my bedroom/bathroom. A couple of my resident cats aren't nice to her when she comes out of my room so she prefers my room. She loves stretching out on the bed, playing in the tub when the waters draining, gets on the top shelf of my closet, sits in the window watching a bird feeder. Gets in and on top of my wardrobe! The first time she saw herself in the mirror she was hissing and popping the mirror! She runs right up to me now and seems content. Two other shy rescues are also in my room, they don't like the other kitties but do ok with Lexie. She looks like my other cat I mentioned, my dh hasn't figured out it is not Missy. I plan on building my outdoor cat enclosure from my bedroom window out into the backyard where the inside-only cats can enjoy being outside yet be safe. Thanks for the name suggestion. It fits her perfectly! It takes me weeks to find a name I like. When you have time I'd like to hear about your friends Lexi, her personality. The man who brought her to me will be tickled too! Donna

Chali kitty sounds cute. I like girlie names also. Guess because I have sons! I am going to call her Lexie. It is cute and unusual. She has turned out to be an expensive kitty just driving her from town to town to find a home! Do you have pics of your kitties? Donna

I do have pics of my kitties, but I don't have recent ones. I have a few scanned in at home. They used to be up on my website, back when I had one. I'd be more than happy to share, if anyone wants to see them. I just haven't had time to recreate my personal website since I moved and changed IP's.
