Ari finally got his stitches taken out yesterday. And with that came with getting the cone off. He is a very happy kitty about that! Poor little guy hasn't been able to lick himself, and he's currently sitting on my lap in licking ecstacy. The vet said we need to watch him to make sure that he dosen't lick his scar too agressivly. That's hard to do, since I have to leave his isolation room sometime. So far he hasn't been though.
We had an appointment at the vet to get his stitches taken out yesterday, but some bad weather kept us snowed in. Luckily, my husband was able to do it just fine. I wish we could have seen the vet for a little check up though to make sure the bone is healing okay. He's still not putting very much weight on the leg. The vet said that since it was such a traumatic incident, it may take him a little longer to get feeling completely back to normal. Hopefully he'll be running and jumping by the new year. :)
