I'm assuming you have been feeding the cat ect... you can take the cat to the vet for its shot(s) and have them bathe it. Also, the cat needs brought indoors right away. Maybe you can at least foster it inside the house. Good luck. Get back to us with good news about the cat!!! donna

I'd just call around to a couple of vets and see what they charge to spay or neuter, vaccinate and bathe a cat. I'm thinking around $100-$125 to get it all done, but prices vary so much in different parts of the country.

I live in Alabama. My vet is very reasonable. Maybe you can get a discount. Did you say the cat is declawed? Maybe she/he is already fixed. Are you friends with other animal lovers that would possibly bathe the cat for you? I personally would hate to attempt to bathe any cat. donna

i bathed the cat and put the flea drops on her. found out she she aint completely declawed..i didn't know that cats nails are hidden till they wanta use them. cat was freaked out at the water first but settled down and seem to relax in the warm bath.. after one night and day inside she decided she didn't wanta be in house as bad as she had wanted to come in before. so i guess i will wait and when cold whether comes she might wanta come in. she smells good and is a clean cat but she wants to visit us outside only right now.

thanks for all your comments

You're a brave person!!! I bet the cat felt much better after her bath. If she stays outside, you can make/buy her a cat house to sleep in. Put a blanket or hay in it. (winter)

Of course have it facing where the north wind isn't blowing into it. You are a very caring person to take care of the cat. Keep us informed. Theres nothing like being clawed by a cat!!! donna
