I missed this posting and replied to your initial missing posting. I am soo glad to hear the good news. I've never dealt with ferals, but I know about bonding. Rena you made my day.
I know the feeling Rena. I was thinking about you, Barb, and Patrick, and others. (Pam too!) So I started searching around for 'youse guys.' It is great to see you out there. I truly miss that board and all the people and cats.
Cookie is as spoiled and fine as ever. Yesterday I moved a recliner into the bedroom (only room in the house with air conditioning) and she wasn't liking it. I usually lounge on my bed and watch tv which is perfect for her: she gets pets when she wants and keeps a certain distance, she is not a lap cat. She sees the recliner as getting in the way of her pets on demand I think. Silly girl. She should know she rules!
Rena, Just a thought, that maybe you have already thought of or not and maybe not even possible, but have you thought about building a large outdoor enclosure for your ferals? It would at least keep them in one place and keep them safe from cars, other predators etc. I have a friend that use to have a large outdoor enclosure for all her rescues or unadoptables. It is just a thought. Doo=^..^=
