Cat Biting

My cat is 7 months old and is very affectionate, sweet, and loving. However, when I am working at my computer or relaxing, she likes to "surprise attack" by biting my hand or arm. She tends to play rather rough and I was wondering if anyone could give any advice on curbing this behavior. When she bites me and I tell her no or that hurts, she immediately begins licking me instead but then starts biting over again. She does this as well when she lays on her back to have her stomach rubbed. I know this seems to be playful for her, but I want to stop the biting and rough play....any advice??

I had a friend once who had this problem, they would bite back. Not hard but just basically put their teeth on the cat's ear, enough to give the cat the point, "hey, that don't feel so good" It seemed to work.

My grandmother did that to a cousin of mine, she stopped biting almost immediately. They get the point very quickly. Hey if I bite them, they bite me back, that's no fun.

You don't have to try it if you don't want to, just something I know worked for this one cat.
