Ok...so I went to the pet store today and the woman working there told me that Purina isn't good enough for my cats and that I should feed the Iams. She said they need more protein to fill them up. Now, I want them to be healthy so I looked into it and Purina seems to have the necessary protein. Who's right? Also, I live with my parents and they fed their cat wet food and so have begun to feed my cats wet food too. They feed them like 2 cans each a day! I think that is absurd, but they won't listen to me. What do you think? Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the info ladies. I'm going to have to check the ingredients and see what the main ingredient is. I would stop them from eating the wet food, but they have become spoiled and know when feeding time is like clock work. It's just that they really do poop a lot which is why I thought the petstore woman was onto something. I just worry about my one cat. He's a 7 year old Maine Coon and he has a pretty sensitive digestive tract. He seems prone to diarrhea more than he probably should. The other two are fine. I have another 7 year old domestic cat and a 4 year old domestic. And since they're male I also have to watch the ash content. Basically I just want them healthy and would love it if the pooped less! Thanks again for your input.

I am frustrated with Nutro....we used to feed both Boots & Thomie Nutro and it was great, and then suddenly (a couple years ago) they changed the formula and Boots started throwing up when she ate it.
