I need some advice. My cat start puking now. I thought maybe he was eating too much so I cut back on the food. This may sound awful but the puke is not like regular puke it almost looks like he has pooped. It's not dark it's a lighter brown. Someone said that maybe it's from a hairball. It seems like only at night he does this. He does make this sound like a male would when he is looking for a female and then a bit later he will puke. He is acting all normal, but I can handle him puking once a day.

Make sure he is not sick but it sounds like hairballs, get some hairball meds that you give every few days or follow the directions.

I would get him checked out by a vet just in case it's not just hairballs.

The same thing happened to my "Java" a couple of months ago and it was hairballs.

Sometimes it takes several days for cats to get a hairball up.

I had a cat that was puking a few times a day and I did 2 things. I changed her food to a premium brand, and I started giving her an anti-furball treat 3 times a day. Eventually she stopped puking altogether. I have another cat who never pukes except one day she puked and there something in her puke that looked like an enormous turd, but turned out to be a big wad of hair. I guess she needed to vomit that out of her system. BTW, I have found club soda to be excellent for cleaning cat vomit out of the carpet. It even cleaned up an old stain that had been dry for several months. Iri
