i have a male cat with a history of urinary infections...we have put him on hill's science diet (c/d's) for the problem and it's been working very well...that aside, recently, he starting vomiting and having diahrea...he got very sick...we took him to the vet and he got every test done...he was severely constipated and had severe dehydration...as it turned out, his liver values were high and they wanted us to bring him back for blood work again....this time, the liver values were normal...the vet said he was fine....and that was that...i don't want him to still be sick, but i want answers....why did he get so constipated and dehydrated?? he is still occasionally vomiting...it's not much...but i'm concerned...are there any vets out there who can answer this?? please give me some piece of mind...

thanks for your response...out of my 3 cats, he's the one who has the most problems...we dealt with the urinary thing for years...well actually he wasn't diagnosed correctly for a while...i really don't understand why dome vets are just plain terrible...i do like the one i go to now, but it's been really difficult...and dealing with cat urine is the worst...and now he's been having the problems i mentioned...he is still throwing up a little, but all the tests came back clear...at one point, the antibiotic made him violently ill and i felt so bad for him...he used to weigh like 12 lbs. and now he's 7...and i think he picked up something from the vet...because now he's sneezing and so are the other two!!
