I currently have 2 cats ... they have been living together for about 7 years and are both female (only one is spayed). About three weeks ago they had started fighting with one another ... and it's some pretty serious fighting. They always got along in the past and I have no idea what made them turn against eachother. Gwen (one cat) always seems to be wanting to smell Peaches (the other cat) and she won't let her. They are always growling and hissing at eachother. Also, Gwen always seems to be the one attacking Peaches and seems to be looking for her all the time and when she does see her she makes it though Peaches won't be able to move or walk without going pass Gwen (it's like Gwen is blocking her in) ... this has made it obvoious for me that Peaches is totally afraid of Gwen. Right now we have them sperated ... one in the basement and one upstairs. We do interchange them in hopes that they will pick up eachothers scent. We've tried letting them be but no luck, Gwen always picks on Peaches and attacks her. They used to bathe eachother and sleep together; they were so close, I have no idea what might have happend to them. I really don't want to get rid of any of them unless I really need to. I've also tried making them smell eachothers fur from my hand and they have no reaction, Peaches actually rubs up against my hand after she smells Gwens fur! .. :D ...
Any suggestions???
If you need further information .. please don't hesitate to reply back with them
